I would recommend Craig to a friend and my partner and I plan to use him again in the future. We had our red oak hardwood floors sanded and stained, and several areas needed new wood (including an entire bedroom). Craig is reasonably priced (we had three quotes), does beautiful work, and finishes on time (even $100 under budget!). Most impressive are the areas where the wood needed to be replaced. You would never know the wood wasn’t original in those areas. There were some minor areas where the stain didn’t come out perfectly along the baseboard, which I assume is from the taping that’s put down to protect the baseboard (not sure). You’d never notice it if you weren’t specifically looking for spots. He also stained different parts of the floor different colors to help us choose which color we wanted. (And then re-sanded it, of course.) Overall, we really like Craig and are very happy with our floors!

Craig McAbee Floors repaired and installed my bathroom floor, It’s done right, looks great and I couldn’t be happier I was so worn by the others contractors that came out (Angies list and all) that I finally went the old fashioned way: the telephone book. It lead me to Mr. McAbee’s Craig’s and then I went to Yelp where there were positive reviews on his work. It also turned out that Mr. McAbee has deep roots in the valley 1900 and that helped. I like knowing something about the people who have access to my home. Things could not have gone better. His suggestions were right on target. The repair and installation was done in a very professional manner. It was a 2 day job that went quickly, He showed me how to save money. He gave me an estimate that described everything down to the nth detail. And even though he did some extra work and bought some more material, the cost on the estimate never changed. I will always be happy with my floor, but I will always be happier about the way the business matter was conducted by Mr. McAbee . About two months ago, we hired Craig to do our floors and he did a wonderful job. We had just bought a house with red oak floors that were stained an ugly color. They also had other issues: damage in some places, the closets had different cheaper wood in them, and one bedroom inexplicably had a cheap vinyl floor.
Craig refinished the whole house, installed new matching wood in the closets and bedroom, and even did spot repairs for damaged wood throughout the house. The whole thing was done beautifully, and we are still thoroughly enjoying our floors two months later!
Price-wise, Craig was in the middle of the pack and was very fairly priced. So overall, I’d highly recommend him. Thank you for a great job, Craig!

Hands down best guy to deal with. He answered my million questions and request for changed to estimates. I had a bedroom with termite damage in the hardwood floor. I needed it replaced on a budget as well as time constraints to avoid stress in my mom who’s a stroke survivor. So we used pre-finished hardwood which is a bit more costly but avoids the several coats of finish. They got it all done in less than one day. I’d say maybe 5 hours? His workers were awesome. Craig himself came to check the job out. My uncle used to lay floors so I picked Craig because he reminded me of him. Doing business the good way, best deal but makes sure you get it done right. Highly recommend him.

Craig McAbee Floors is installing our wood floor now. We are so impressed with the quality of work! His main installer, Jose, is an artist! They are skilled at what they do. And Jose anticipated a couple of tricky spots and suggested very nice solutions – I think it was actually more work for him, but definitely better looking. Well done!

We hired Craig McAbee Floors to do my mother’s floors that needed repair from loose boards and nails that were causing loud squeaking noises when stepped on. We also purchased new carpet and padding. Craig was very patient and professional with my senior Mom of 84 years old. I’m in Southern California so I was not able to be there in person. In addition, he was very good at getting my mother the best quote possible especially considering she is a Senior and he was sensitive to a budget that was conducive for her. He and his staff did an excellent job. The floors are way better and the carpet and padding is very excellent quality. They finished are large upstairs area within 2 days. They were very helpful, professional, tidy and friendly. We definitely recommend Craig McAbee Floors to anyone and will plan to use them again for our next projects in the future!
